Who We Are
We are a membership based association of women in the mining value chain. Since formation in 2020 we have worked with government departments , Civic society organizations, private companies and various stakeholders in engagement, capacity building, funding and networking towards empowerment of women in the mining value chain.
Our membership is drawn from all aspects of the mining value chain to include Miners ( Fe-Miners), Executives, Professionals, tradeswomen, trainers, mentors, support service providers, media personalities and those into value addition of minerals. Our partners include govt departments, mining houses, service providers, civic organizations and embassies
Our Objectives
Promote sustainable extraction of minerals for the economic empowerment of women in Zimbabwe.
To create an advocacy platform for women’s right and inclusion in policymaking through constant awareness training and bonafide engagement with the government.
Promotion of tranquillity in the mining sector and promote the reduction of violence and hooliganism for women in mining;
Capacity building of women miners through training, local regional, and traditional exchange miners programs, acquisition of mining rights, and legal representation.
To improve the economic Independence of women and household income through promoting diversified utilization and beneficiation of minerals to bring about socio-economic whilst encouraging investments of proceeds into other economic sectors.
To create an investment tool for the funding of mining operations miners through pooling together resources towards a revolving loan fund, a Savings and Credit Cooperation, sourcing for grants and donations
